Seriously when does she get a break?
Past couple months has been insane. Between the usual ECI, OT, PT, speech on weekly basis, we are also back at having lots of doctors appointments and also working with Travis medical for a Kaye walker for Naylah. Maybe it will motivate her walking. We also have to Keep up with her chronic ear infection, when tubes has just been changed, her pediatrician, swallow study, ER trip with hives and fever, allergist, cardiology coming up and ophtomologist dueto her excessive eye crossing. She has delay in vision since birth probably due to her genetics, at 3 month Naylah wasn't tracking anything. Month after month she slowly but surely improved. Lately however, there is no progress. She is eye crossing more than I could count in a day. So we went to see her doctor who suggested eye patching . Due to using too much one eye, it can cause vision loss of the other. So he recommended that we patch Naylahs eyes two hours daily until end of May, to see if we can see any progress. After that the other option will be glasses and later on if needed eye surgery.
Now you tell me, when does she get a break? When one thing gets better, something always comes right on top. I am glad for the doctors team she has. They are all Trying to help her the best they can. It's hard to see her going through so much tho . Never catching a break.
The more she is growing , the more is needed. Supply to walk, find out how to help with her language , her ears that never heals, her fragile heart that is maintain calm because of meds,, eye patching to get her eye muscle stronger, feeding tube to help her gain weight, meds to help with reflux. It's unfair. She is so small, but so strong deserves a medal. She is amazing.
But seriously when does she get a break!?
Now let's the countdown begin! We are 3 days away from the big 2s!
And we are all so ready! Here is a Sneek peek just for you!
