Last Saturday, as a family we drove to Houston for a Peach Neet party.
Peach Neet feet is an amazing non-profit organization that provides shoes ( not your typical kind, customized that tell your child story in a pair of shoes) to any child battleling something such as cancer, genetics, illness and list goes on.
Peach motto is kindness and she hustle it hard. She is beyond amazing and what she does for our children is beyond amazing.
We met some beautiful souls at that event. Each child had a story to tell.

After the Peach Neet feet party, since we were half way there, we decided to make a stop to Galveston to enjoy the salty water, the sand, and take a break from it all.
We got the break we needed.
I had almost forgot what it feels like to feel free.
Free from therapy, and doctors appointments, deal with schedule and home nurse agency.
Watch Naylah be free from it all.
Her happiness, her joy, her smile, like for the first time we weren't driving left and right. She had us all for herself.
It was just us, nothing medical following us. ( besides medicines and feeding tube)
I watched her explore, I watched her run in that sand, clapping of happiness, touching the sand, tasting it too.
Those 4 days get away, opened my eyes, I saw what it was like to have a bit of a "normal " life. Not that our life isn't normal. I meant experimenting what it was like to have no home nurse close by, therapists that come in or that we drive to, phone calls setting up refills for meds and calls to make sure the order of her medical supply are good for the following month. Being your Child advocate, voice and mother. 3 roles to one person. Your husband never being able to take a few days off because he is the only one working.
We decided it was time. Time for us, time for our family. Remember how it was like before the diagnosis, before our lives changed to a medical world where stress can take over so easily.
Enjoy our little family to the fullest.
We came home refreshed and promised ourselves to take more often time for us, for our family. Sometimes putting things on hold its a necessity.
Seeing my daughter the happiest she has ever been, make me want to pack and go back right away!
Enjoy the photos!
